Rob Patton's Talk Online Now
Last week, Rob Patton, the Program Manager for CITS, gave a talk on Facebook and interactivity. A video of his talk, which focused on findings from his Master’s research on Facebook, is now available online. His research lecture marks the end of six year period working for CITS—he started as Program Manager in 2002. He will be moving with his family to Idaho in the summer and he will be sorely missed. As I noted in my introduction to his talk, Rob has helped CITS grow over the years and has been responsible for a number of its programs—he has organized the Faculty Lecture Series of which is talk is a part, for instance—and a number of our proudest accomplishments—many of the high profile speakers CITS has hosted have been the results of invitations by Rob. So, it is bitter-sweet to see Rob’s talk and see him move on; we are happy for Rob and his family to start a new adventure and yet sad to see him leave the Center. Best of luck Rob and thanks for ending with a talk!
