Soon, the addition of WikiTrust as an optional feature for Wikipedia users (in English only) will give people a tool to evaluate the credibility of Wikipedia articles and editors.

WikiTrust assigns a color code to each word in an article based on the author's reputation and how often the text has been recently edited.

Monica Bulger shares results of an empirical study for her dissertation that assessed the ways in which students negotiate potentially overwhelming online information options.

Miriam Metzger is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at UC Santa Barbara her research includes studies of the credibility of information in the new media environment, problems of online privacy and security, the impact of media on public opinion, and the theoretical and regulatory changes brought about by the development of new media technologies.
