Nicole Starosielski

Nicole Starosielski is a PhD student in Film and Media Studies at UC Santa Barbara. Nicole received her BA in Cinema-Television and English from the University of Southern California in 2005. She has experience in film and digital media production and is interested in integrating theory and practice. She is also interested in moments of convergence and divergence of various media forms, aural environments, perception, affect and experimental ethnography. Her recent films include TechConnect, a mockumentary about technology and community (produced for CITS), and Bleach, an experimental ethnography on race, gender and family.
